Βόλτα στο πιο μαγικό σημείο της πόλης. Κατασκευασμένο τον 14ο αιώνα με έντονα ενετικά στοιχεία και εντυπωσιακή αρχιτεκτονική, το παλιό λιμάνι αποτελεί αναμφίβολα ένα ταξίδι στον χρόνο γεμάτο ιστορικό ενδιαφέρον. Ο επιβλητικός φάρος, τα στενά δρομάκια, τα όμορφα εστιατόρια με κρητικές νοστιμιές, οι πολυσύχναστες καφετέριες, η θέα προς τις βάρκες αλλά και η ρομαντική αύρα το καθιστούν έναν αρχαιολογικό θησαυρό. Εκεί, όπου όλοι οι πολιτισμοί συναντώνται.
Exhibits include small statues, vessels, amphorae, pottery, coins and other ancient objects. The highlight of the collection here is the huge (approximately 7 metres long and 3 metres high!) pediment of the Gorgon Medusa, from the famous Doric Temple of Artemis- a typical Doric temple devoted to the Greek goddess of Artemis. Other significant exhibits include the stone lion of Menecrates, the statuettes of Artemis, the head of a Kuros and the marble torso of Apollo and other parts of ancient temples. Like most other museums in Corfu, entrance to the Archaeological Museum includes a small fee.
