Balos beach definitely belongs to the most photographed beaches of Crete. It is famous for the turquoise waters, the wild natural beauty and the exotic landscape. Hundreds of visitors arrive every day by boat or by car from Kissamos. It is an experience of a lifetime and is an ideal destination for families and children since the waters are shallow and warm. Next to the beach of Balos is the famous Gramvousa beach which is divided into two uninhabited islands, Agria and Imeri Gramvousa. Imeri Gramvousa is known for the Fort of Gramvousa and the legend says that a great treasure is hidden on the island to this day. On the south side of the island you can explore the rusty shipwreck that sank many years ago and now is an integral part of the area.
