A paradise for hundreds of plants and animals born from its ashes. The reason for the creation of the Botanical Park of Chania, in Fournes, was a fire that burned the area in 2003. A green area of 200 acres awaits you to get to know species of trees, herbs, ornamental plants in a colorful and lively landscape full of beautiful pictures and aromas. In the middle of the park stands a burnt century-old olive tree, as a memorial and reference point to the fire. Along the clear trail you will proceed on paths of natural beauty and observe species of wild flora and fauna in all stages of their life cycle, depending on the time of the year you visit it. You will end up fascinated by the unique beauty that spreads before your eyes in the lake of the park and a small path will lead you to the exit and the restaurant where you can taste dishes of the Cretan cuisine.
