The iconic building that houses the Archaeological Museum is located in the historical area of Halepa and overlooks a large part of the city. In the permanent location of the museum you can see the rich archaeological stock of the regional unity of Chania over the centuries starting from the beginning of human existence, the prehistoric settlements and a variety of objects chronicling aspects of society, religion, entertainment, war and trade through people’s daily lives. Take a tour of the floors and enjoy specialized reenactments, digital screenings and exhibits with Braille captions.
