Private Tour: Paleochora
Starting from your pickup point in Chania we head to Kandanos village. We make a short stop for a coffee and then we board to Paleochora where there will be free time for lunch and swimming. At the end we board the bus to return to your hotel or villa.
After picking you up from your hotel or villa we head to the picturesque village of Kandanos. Kandanos mainly produces olive oil and it has many centuries-old olive trees around. It is a village with huge historical importance for the island because it’s where the revolution started in 1866 in Crete. During the years of the Turkish rule, a Turkish commander was based in there and during World War II it was destroyed by the Germans in retaliation for the resistance shown by the residents. Today, it is a proud town with traditional restaurants and cafes.
Our route continues to Paleochora, a beautiful small town that many locals choose to spend their holidays every year. The beaches are very well organized and extend along a coastline of 11km. Inside the town you can find a variety of restaurants with local and international cuisine, cafes, small shops, souvenir shops and more. Don’t miss to wander through the narrow streets. Paleochora is also characterized by its wild beauty as you can find many hiking trails that offer you an incredible sea view.
Experience the most beautiful parts of Crete! Your amazing tour ends with a comfortable transfer back to your hotel.
